Higher Education and Training Deputy Minister, Dr Mimmy Gondwe, has inspired learners to evaluate the Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges being a beneficial and viable alternate for advancing their professions.
The Deputy Minister was talking throughout an oversight visit for the post-school education and schooling (PSET) institutions from the Western Cape this week.
Gondwe described the TVET colleges as very important for job creation and youth skills development while in the country.
The Deputy Minister frequented the West Coast College Vredenburg Campus, plus the Cape Peninsula {University of Technological know-how (CPUT) Bellville Campus in Cape Town.
Gondwe's visits geared toward examining the state of readiness of increased education institutions across the nation, in advance in the 2025 academic year.
In the course of the visit at West Coast College, she inspired learners to take satisfaction in getting artisan competencies as they offer great entrepreneurship chances.
"I am very encouraged by what I'm seeing at TVET colleges, I believe they are the future of this country. At the second part of the visit, college students at CPUT expressed worries about college student residences and various amenities. The Deputy Minister directed the institution to operate with the Student Representative Council (SRC), to speedily take care of the recognized concerns.
